The Inside Track is operated by Industry Parent, founded by Bonnie Lia. We are committed to protecting the privacy of all users, and in particular the privacy of children whose data is submitted to our platform by their parents or legal guardians.

Industry Parent Limited is registered with The ICO.

 

2. Who This Policy Covers

This policy covers:

  1. Parents and legal guardians who register with The Inside Track

  2. Children whose information is submitted to the platform by their parent or legal guardian, typically aged 0-17yrs.

 

3. What Data We Collect

About the parent/guardian:

  1. Full name

  2. Email address

  3. Phone number

  4. Home Address

About the child:

  1. Full name

  2. Age and date of birth

  3. Photographs

  4. Video recordings (self tapes)

  5. CV (including skills and performance history)

  6. Physical details relevant to casting (measurements, ethnicity, hair colour, eye colour etc.)

  7. Any other information submitted as part of the Inside Track package

 

4. Why We Hold This Data (Legal Basis)

We collect and process this data in order to:

  1. Provide The Inside Track service you have purchased

  2. Create and maintain your child's profile on the platform

  3. Present your child's profile to agencies

  4. Communicate with you about the service, video modules, Q&A sessions, workshops, and profile status

  5. Process your payment securely

Our legal basis for processing this data is contractual - you have entered into an agreement with us by purchasing The Inside Track package, and this data is necessary to deliver that service.

 

5. Parental Consent & Children's Data

Because our platform involves the data of children, we take this responsibility extremely seriously.

By purchasing this service you confirm that:

  1. You are the parent or legal guardian of the child being registered

  2. You have full authority to submit your child's data on their behalf

  3. You consent to your child's profile - including photographs, video recordings, CV, personal and contact details - being visible to agencies we choose to share with

  4. You understand that agents may contact you directly based on viewing your child's profile

Children under the age of 13 cannot consent to their own data being processed. All consent must be provided by a parent or legal guardian.

 

 

6. Who We Share Data With

Your child's profile will be visible to the agencies we choose to share The Inside Track platform with. These agencies are based in the UK.

We do not sell, rent or share your data with any other third party for marketing or commercial purposes.

We may share data with:

  1. Our website and platform hosting provider

  2. Our payment processing provider

  3. Any other technical service providers necessary to operate the platform

 

7. How Long We Keep Your Data

Your child's profile will remain active on the platform for a maximum of 6 months from the date it goes live.

After this period:

  1. The profile will be removed from the platform and will no longer be visible to agents

  2. We will retain your contact details and transaction records for 7 years for legal and accounting purposes

  3. All other personal data relating to your child will be deleted as soon as the profile is removed

 

8. How We Keep Data Secure

We take the security of your data - and in particular your child's data - very seriously. We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse.

 

9. Your Rights

As a parent or guardian submitting data on behalf of your child, you have the following rights under UK GDPR:

  1. Right to access — you can request a copy of the data we hold

  2. Right to rectification — you can ask us to correct inaccurate data

  3. Right to erasure — you can ask us to delete your data at any time

  4. Right to restrict processing — you can ask us to limit how we use your data

  5. Right to object — you can object to us processing your data

  6. Right to portability — you can ask for your data in a portable format

To exercise any of these rights please contact us. We will respond to all requests within 30 days.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.
