Industry Parent started with a phone call
Actually, it started with hundreds of them.
Industry Parent was founded by Bonnie Lia, who has spent over twenty years in the industry and is the Founder of Bonnie and Betty, one of the UK's largest children's agencies. In that time, she's seen the industry from every angle. The auditions, the contracts, the wins, the setbacks, the politics, the brilliant moments, and the not so glam reality of it all.
Industry Parent is the platform she always wished existed for the parents she couldn't help.
Every single day, without fail, parents reach out to her agency asking the same question. "Are your books open?" And 90% of the time, the answer is no. What comes next is usually:
"Can you recommend anyone else?"
"Where do we start?"
"Are we doing this wrong?"
So many parents stuck, conflicted, confused. So many have already been burned by portfolio companies and predatory schemes. So many are simply looking for somewhere honest to turn. Somewhere they can ask the questions they don't know how to ask, without judgement, and without a sales pitch waiting at the end.
Industry Parent is her answer to those calls.
